Gourmet Experience – Country Hospitality
Remember the days of a true BnB where the host welcomes you, shows you around and offers the option of spoiling you with delicious food and beverages. The shires of Moorabool, Ballarat, Golden Plains and Hepburn are abundant with artisan producers and hidden treasures and present the perfect backdrop for a stay at Graze-Ballan.
Lovers of quirky eclectic spaces will revel in the retro and vintage vibes of Graze-Ballan. The Gypsy Van and Retro Caravan combined with the unique ambience of the art deco inspired lounge/dining cabin offer a great ‘step back in time’ peaceful space. The serene location is ideal for a couple, two couples or a family, and furbabies are invited too! You can explore and gather produce from hidden corners of the region and self cater in the camp kitchen or sit back and savour the region’s finest offerings prepared and served to you on site. Our friendly sheep, goats and alpaca also offer a great experience for those that simply love animals.
It’s the perfect way to enjoy a true country/farmstay experience with an added touch of class. Being less than an hour from Melbourne makes it an ideal ‘getaway with a difference’ for locals that want some time out of the city.
With a population just over 3,000 we love Ballan for its convenience, country charm and the many great offerings for weekend outings closeby. We moved here for a tree change in 2017 and found one of the few 5-acre properties remaining in the area. Foodies and animal lovers at heart, we have decided to invite others to enjoy what we have. We are proud parents to a small menagerie of chickens, guinea fowl, ducks, sheep, goats, Colin the alpaca, and Daisy, a rescued working dog. Coming from a hospitality background we love to cook and have spent endless weekends exploring the awesome local produce. Daylesford and Ballarat are just 20 minutes’ from our door and we’re surrounded by other picturesque country towns offering some amazing scenery and nice surprises. To this day we are discovering more and more in the hidden corners of our region and we look forward to sharing it with you soon.
Cheers……..Jill and Phil
